Hamptons Blitz
August 25, 2008

I just returned from another extended weekend in the Hamptons where I photographed several of my clients. What an amazing place to shoot. While I was there, I photographed 5 families, a fashion shoot and a party.

Here are a few shots from a shoot I did which I particularly love!

Katherine Heigl Wedding Photos

We just got approval to use the following three shots from Katherine Heigl's wedding on our new website that we are designing. You'll have to stay tuned as we have another big wedding coming up this fall.

Vancouver Bound
August 25, 2008

We are headed to Vancouver to enjoy the beautiful weather and see my family. The funny thing is that when Ian was booking the tickets (on points) it was the same amount of points for first class seats as it was for coach - so he thought it was a no-brainer... I feel sorry for the other passengers who bought their first class seats expecting a peaceful relaxing flight with our two little ones up there.

Carter has been known to throw up on flights and the flight attendants even roped off the area as a "bio-hazard" zone last time so all of our neighbors were playing musical chairs. Lauren has gotten to be a good traveler recently but that wasn't always the case. We once took her to Europe when she was 18 months old and did the red-eye flight thinking that she would sleep the whole way. Instead she literally screamed at the top of her lungs for about 4 hours straight. It got so bad that the flight attendants tried to take her to calm her down. Of course we knew that being taken by strangers would only freak her out more.

Here's to a peaceful flight!

Kudos From a Client
August 13, 2008

We recently received the following email from a dear client - Lauren. When we hear feedback like this it really makes us appreciate what we do for people:

I cannot begin to thank you enough for the breathtaking, stunning, absolutely gorgeous album! I must look at it every few hours. You are a true artist. You captured
more than just photographs, you captured the entire spirit of the event. Looking at the photos is almost like being swept up into a fairytale where I get to be the princess over and over! Every person I have showed the album to has said that it is by far the most beautiful album they have ever seen. More than one person suggested that you should have some kind of installation at a gallery to display your work, because it is more than just pictures it is art.

I must say that from the moment I saw your photographs online I knew you were something special. Your style is EXACTLY what I was searching for. You capture all the important moments without staging them thereby allowing the true spirit of the even to be captured on film. Your photographs are so high fashion that I feel I could open Vogue and expect to see your work!

I am forever in your debt because when I show my grandchildren the album of my wedding day I will have you to thank for cataloguing the memories.

Family Fun
August 4, 2008

During the past month we've had my parents visit from Vancouver for two weeks followed by my sister and her family for two more weeks. What a great time to catch up. They all stayed here in the building so it was super convenient to have casual visits.

The following photos are from an outing we took the kids to a "sea turtle release". What's amazing is that all of these photos were taken with no flash - at 9:30pm!
