We are in NY again this weekend for a wedding and a few other photoshoots. It's the right time of year here as the weather is gorgeous! Next weekend we are heading to the caribbean for a wedding which is always really spectacular. It's been a really busy year for us which is always nice.
Last weekend we took the kids away for the holiday weekend.... it sounded like a good idea until both Lauren and Ian got food poisoning within an hour of each other. Needless to say I was running all over taking care of them as Carter was squaking - I guess he felt he should be getting all of the attention.

Okay…so I just have to say, “my hubbie rocks!” For the past four days I thought that I was on my way to Vegas to shoot a wedding at a private estate. I had done a ton of email correspondence with our bride and groom and everything was set to go for the big event. We had decided to bring our two little ones and make a vacation out of it after the wedding. Well, as we were about to enter our room, I noticed that there was some luggage and someone’s shoes on the ground. I said, “Ian this can’t be our room…someone’s luggage is there!!! He insisted that it was our room. Right at that point, I noticed a shadow lurking in the background and this really freaked me out. I was starting to think that I didn’t want to be a part of something that happens in Vegas and stays in Vegas!!
Before I knew it, the lights went on and everyone yelled “SURPRISE!!!!” In front of me was my whole family!! I just couldn’t believe it. I was absolutely floored. Ian had arranged for everyone to fly down everyone and surprise me early for my upcoming 40th Birthday. I think I am still in shock!
It turns out that he had collaborated with a former client and great friend - Melissa. He had Melissa call me and tell me about her (imaginary) friend who was getting married in Vegas... I fell for it hook line and sinker!
The best part of this I think for Ian was that he got to act like he was part of the FBI with a whole code language. When we arrived in Vegas, he texted his brother and said, “Viva Las Vegas”…this really meant we’ve landed and are heading over to the hotel….followed by “how you doing?” which meant get everyone over to the room right now!
What a weekend. No one has ever surprised me like that! Thanks Ian for being the absolute best husband I could ever hope for!! You are truly my soul mate and I fall in love with you more and more everyday!!

I was at the dentist's office the other day when the hygenist said that she saw me in InTouch Magazine for Katherine Heigl's wedding. Of course InTouch didn't have the exclusive and didn't have access to our photos so they sent the Paparazzi to get whatever they could of the day.
She brought in the magazine and sure enough there's a picture of me and Katherine walking with her secuity team to the ceremony with the caption: "Escorted by a cadre of burly bodygurads....". Do I look like a bodyguard?
