In the past 7 days I became a citizen of the US, shot a “Life Celebration Party” where Rod Stewart gave a private performance, shot a celeb wedding that will be in the magazines next week, and celebrated Christmas.
Every time we shoot a high profile wedding like this it’s always such a push since the images have to be to the magazine within a day or two. With the amount of shots that we shoot it takes many hours to upload the wedding just to get it to the point of being able to edit, then it has to go through the couple’s representatives for approval and then to the magazine.
I can’t give any details of the wedding but you’ll see it in the press next week and I’ll let you know which magazine it’s in once it hits the stands.
We were supposed to go to Vancouver to see my family for the Holidays but Carter got an ear infection so he wasn’t able to fly.

I became an American Citizen last week!!! What an honor and joy to finally be a at this point in my journey. It’s been a 7 years since I first met Ian and 5 years since we’ve been married.
I’ve always thought it was funny since Ian and both our kids are American but I’ve always just been a permanent resident.
Of course I’m still Canadian and will enjoy dual citizenship as will our kids but since we make our home here I really wanted to officially be an American.
We had a citizenship party that we celebrated with Ian’s family and they gave the most patriotic gifts.

We’re off to shoot a celebrity wedding this weekend. All we can say is look for it in the magazines next week...

We are leaving today for a Caribbean cruise with my parents. We’ll be cruising on the same ship that we took for our previous cruises as we are total creatures of habit.
It’s a much needed break after a great year.
I’ll write more upon our return.
