We’ve been trying to do something exciting with the kids every weekend. Three weeks ago we went to the circus, the next weekend it was the zoo, last weekend it was the movies and this weekend it was “Art Deco Weekend” here in South Beach.
Ironically one thing that we just don’t do enough of is photos on the kids. We’re trying to get better that way and make an effort as I just love looking at the photos we’ve taken.
Above is a shot I took recently after bribing lauren with a chocolate chip cookie.
We try to take our pocket point and shoot camera with us as often as possible. The great thing about those cameras are that they are always accessible and they are great at capturing video as well.

Ian and I had a good time reminiscing about our business history together.
Before we moved to the US we used to do an insane amount of weddings each year. I personally shot 55 weddings a year when I lived in Vancouver - over a 4 month time span. The wedding season there is so short because of the rain that the brides would all get married from June to September and then the season was over. So I’d be going out all weekend every weekend. Friday, Saturday, Sunday... Talk about stamina!

I was on the Martha Stewart Channel on Wednesday as they were doing a segment on how to get beautiful formal shots during the day. Thanks for all of the calls and the questions.
I was up in New York for two short trips over a four day period. While there I photographed another spread for the Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine as well as a few other shoots.

OK... The secret is out! We just photographed Katherine Heigl’s wedding last week in Park City, Utah. It was absolutely breathtaking. We had a fabulous time getting to know Katie and Josh and their love really shows in the photos.
The wedding photos are exclusively featured in OK Magazine which should hit the stands tomorrow.
